Dr. Kerr attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1969. He spent the next four years at the University of Michigan Medical School, graduating in 1975. After a rotating internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Dr. Kerr completed a three year residency program in Dermatology at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland.
Dr. Kerr has been the only Dermatologist practicing on the Rose Medical Center Campus since 1977.
Dr. Kerr has been an active participant in the Columbia-Rose, Health One rural support program which provides medical care to rural communities throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. He has also maintained a part-time practice in Scottsbluff, Nebraska since 1979.
